Dead Meadow

Post by brianb »

This band recently played in Portland. It is a young band and I wouldn't have gone if my son and his band hadn't forced me. I had no idea the bass guy would be playing a 4003( my son knew) and that the sound guy was all about the(Ric) bass. They are somewhat retro. Black Sabbath meets Blue Cheer meets Syd Barrett/Doors meets .... their own take on things. I think the kids like the 4003's. I would have liked this band if he was playing any bass...but you know.....

I went to go see them a couple of months ago, on my own, mind you. I liked them, although the show did make my head hurt a little. Very heavy - lots of "one riff" tunes. I was happy to see a ric myself.
