Color morphs

Post by bassduke49 »

John Hall said that any standard or color-of-the-year color could have been ordered for any Rick model. My recent ebay purchase of a Fireglo LAredo (got it right this time) proves this out, so now I'm wondering if any Laredo was finished in Sea Green? I've seen only three Rick basses in this color: the V-63 that Tim sold; AmpegBob's 4003, and the 4003S5 that is used as wallpaper on Pick-of-the-Ricks website (4000 series page). Anyone seen more?

Mike Parks sold a 4001v63 (its still on his website) and another 4001v63 also sold on ebay right around the time that Tim sold his. I've also seen two or three 4003s sell on ebay in that color. I'm a fan too and almost bought Tim's.
