Bye, Bye!

For a while anyway. I'm probably gonna just relist it. The last one which wasn't listed properly went for over $1900.

Wonder why a guitar store would sell it so cheap?Betcha Mike Parks woulda grabbed it if he saw it.

In the earlier days this seller was a little, how shall we say, overly optimistic.

Recently they have become more mainstream.

Glad you got the score!

I wanna see it first. I definately don't need two so, either the jetglo or this will have to be moved.

Marc,
That's what I said about v63s, years ago!!!
Now I understand that I need two, and one is strung with flats, one with rotos. I couldn't imagine having just one!

Excellent score Marc!

I wonder why Hoboken sold it so low. Jim Pasch is a very experienced and informed dealer.

Ilan, if you research Ebay, when was the last one one there? It was that one that was mis-titled, so he may not have seen that one.Or the mistaken identity one that Kendall picked up.No one except Kendall saw that.

If you search on-line stores you probably won't find one except for Mike Parks' and his is mis-labeled also (it says V64).

So how can you research what people are selling them for when there's none for sale?Maybe he looked in the Vintage Guitar Price Guide, saw it listed for $1200 and figures, this one's mint, it's worth $1600.OR maybe he got it cheap and just turned it. He also has a 450v63(I think that's tight)that's priced right on the money. Betcha he gottem both from the same guy.I'm actually thinking about that one as I know they are rare animals.

Kendall, A pair of jetglo?Hmmm, naw. I never had a mapleglo Ric and after John Hall explained why the jetglos are out there in the first place,I know cosmetically that the wood is not up to par with the MG's and FG's.

Jared,If I list the JG on ebay, instead of a BIN button I'll put a "DO IT!" button that only you can press.

Well, Marc, I guess he's not that knowledgeable after all, is he? I just wish I'd seen it first... but it's good to know that it's gone to a forumite.

Yeah Paul, I'd like to. I wouldn't even mind filling my 6 guitar stand with'em.Too many other interests however.

My 4000 project is my main concern now, especially with all the work I'm having done. It's gonna cost more than I just paid for this thing.

Also have a Blue Boy 4004cii on order. Can't forget about that!

Enough Rickenbuying for now. I'm a greedy guy who saw an opportunity to Rickenflip. Just like I did with the 4003s/8 which went to Mike Parks. Funny... he must have sold it before he had a chance to list it.I guess that's a doubleRickenflip.

Congrats Marc. I've been busy last couple of days so haven't had chance to scan the 'bay. Must admit if I'd seen that, I'd have gone for it at that price. I get the feeling I'm not supposed to have a V63....

As far as finding it on Ebay, Jared actually reported it, that's how I knew it was there.I have buy ads out in on-line classifieds that I will buy this instrument at $1500, so $1600 wasn't too much of a stretch.

This one or my jetglo should be up on Ebay by Tuesday evening.

I'm a little nervous as a non-forum source told me that it seems strange that this particular dealer would sell such an item so cheap.
