Silver 4003

Post by jnbass »

I saw a silver 4003 at my local g'tar shop but it had black sides/no binding. Is this genuine? I've seen pictures of silver 4003s but they all had white binding. Silverados Help!

jnbass: There were 4003 Silvers with black binding made.

Peter: Thanks-saw your pix with the Silver, but this thing had the sides in black, with no binding. Couldn't tell if it was painted-looked original. Maybe it belongs in a butcher shop? Is there anyway to tell if the silver's original by the serial #? This 4003 is in very good shape with just a few nicks & black hardware.
