Hi everybody, I think I might just be the buyer of said bass. I have bought it through Rics r Us in the UK. I paid £1350 for it and that includes shipping to my door in UK. I think that would be equivalent of $2200 dollars. This is the price these things are going for over here, even 4001 models.

Neil-

do you have to pay the VAT for imports?

No matter-you scored a nice bass!

Hi Jared
This is the whole reason I have gone through a company, I looked into doing a deal direct, but could quite easily of ended up paying up to £1700, due to UK customs being a***holes!
Bit of a tax fiddle really, But believe me, you guys know how long I have looked for one of these, it is exactly the finish I wanted, the only other finish I would have been happy with was fireglo.
UK Rick prices are going through the roof, and there are NONE of these basses to be had in the UK, I jumped at this when it came up.
Got to sell a few things to pay for it though, which includes my Ibanez Rick copy and a 2000 Musicman stingray. Nevermind, needs must.
