Decent sound from Fender RockPro/Quadraverb GT

Post by hot_rats »

Hi everyone, this is my first post.

My Rick is a 360/6 and I have a Fender Roc-Pro 700 amp. The problem is, I find it difficult to get a decent Rick sound out of it. The only effects I use are from a Quadraverb GT.

To my ears the Fender amp produces too clean a sound, apart from when I choose the overdiven channel, but then it sounds a bit too overdriven to me.

I've experimented with the Quadraverb but I've even struggled to get a really good Rick sound out of that, especially as the overdrive and distortion are woeful.

So there you have it. A 360/6, a Fender Roc Pro, and a Quadraverb GT. Unfortunately, spending lots of money to improve my setup isn't really on.

Anyone got a quadraverb with decent Rick friendly patches? Or any other advice for that matter.

cheers

Is that a tube amp? I'm not familiar with the model. I have 3 fender tube amps and my 660/12 sounds just as dreamed it would/should out of them. Though 12 inch speakers do it a little better than the 10's (I've both) IMO.
