Cheyenne ii Questions

Post by archiveman »

Has anyone recently purchased a Cheyenneii Bass model, and if so what was the delivery time from the date of order.

I'd be interested to know what the translucent colours look like in real life.

I ordered one from my local dealer at the end of May '03. Near the end of October '03 it still wasn't in. I happened to talk to Mike at The Music Connection at that time about some parts for my 4005WB; he said he had just gotten three in, so I bought mine from him and cancelled the order from the local dealer.

Mine was ordered in April of 2003 from the infamous Ed Roman. Got it in January 2004. The trans blue looks pretty much like it does in the picture.Image

I've ordered the Red, but I must say the blue looks beautiful, what brand of amp are u using.

The pic above the blue looks customised.

I ordered my this week and I'm sure Australia will take a little longer, like my acoustics are.

There's a goldy yellow translucent on the ric website, but not listed in the colour schemes.

I had a 2000 model that I foolishly sold about 1-1/2 years ago. It's a fantastic bass, and the finish was ourstanding!!

I'll miss that bass til I somehow get another one.

Jeffrey,
Are the toasters on yours a modification, or can you order them with those? I thought humbuckers were the only pu's available.

I added the toasters, a recommended mod, and the vvt controls. I also replaced the ABM bridge with the Hipshot, and the Hipshot Ultralite tuners and vintage TRC on the headstock.

Warren, that gold/yellowy color you're referring to is just Mapleglo. That 4004 on the ric site has so much flame, it looks like a gold color.

I agree that the red transluscent are the best looking of the available colors, they show the figure very nicely in the wood and go with the Bubinga fingerboard best, IMO. Plus the gold hardware looks best with the red.
