Serial Number Identification Inside The Guitar

Post by admin »

Did Rickenbacker ever have a standard procedure when they, like some other companies, may have marked the date of manufacture inside the cavity in additon to elsewhere?
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Peter, not that I know of. Arnquist may have other info, as well as John Hall. But I'd bet if you ever Do find a corresponding serial # inside, it was done by the owner in an attempt to be tricky and thwart a theif who might steal the guitar and remove the jackplate.

as to "Thwarting a THIEF"

that is the only time I've seen an extra serial number.

To my knowledge there has never been a 2nd official location for a serial number
So you too want yours "ALAPWOB"?!?!
