What was it?

I saw a 6 string Rick solid-body today with a serial number of OE2642(May 1975). It was a model that I am unfamiliar with. It was shaped like the 600 series, but the headstock also had the "cresting wave." It was some kind of brownish/bronze color. The two pickups were black plastic and the style reminded me of the ones on my 99 Fender Strat.
I am far from a Rick expert, but I was not impressed by some of the workmanship, such as the pickguard was buckled around the screws and the tuners looked like cheap replacements. I don't know if someone had "customized it" or if it was made that way, but it did have good action and pretty decent sound. The owner is asking $795. Any comments would be appreciated.
