Well, one big thing it's got going for it is that it's got a 2:00 f-hole....cool. IMHO it would bring more if it was still Fireglo(which I'm sure it was before it was black...). The nut is a replacement, and two extra markers at the 12th fret is a glaring apology, especially if they were sunk into the fretboard. A refret, and replaced tuners too, although they are proper-- except they should be nickel rather than chrome plated. Having said all this, I doubt if it will go cheap. YMMV.
John said it all. A really cool guitar and no doubt will not go for a song. Almost certainly this was a regular Rose Morris 1996 in Fireglo. It's serial number fits perfectly in the Rose Morris 1996 2 o'clock sequence and I guess goes towards what I've indicated before about production numbers of these.
It used to look like only a handful of 2 o'clock models were made, but we had yet to hear from many of the long term owners in the UK (such as this one). More recent data shows that most of the 1996's from the UK market and a good number of the close European market, are in fact 2 o'clock models. This accounts for at least half of all units, probably more. The remainder, serial numbered after June of '64, appear to have been distributed by Rose Morris to more distant countries, and are 1 o'clock models. The last ones made appear to be August '64 models.

It does look a little dented but that could be reflection. The shape is correct for Rose Morris 1996's. Only the earliest ones were made with a full square heel, the bulk of them had this shaped heel, which is not quite rounded. Still has a squarish look. Both of mine are like this, and the amount of protrusion of the heel from the body varies from one 1996 to the next.
I contacted with the seller in UK and he said that he still keeping the guitar and looking for
best offer from anyone. It is rare guitar with 2 o'clock sound hole but need to check any damages
under the black finish. also it has additional dot marker on the 12th fret and needs restration job. I think reasonable price should be less than
US$ 3,000.

IMHO, the guitar is a fake. The seller is reluctant to provide any pics of the inside of the guitar or take addiitional specific pics of the body. He is evasive and responds to questions with questions. Buyers beware!
Here's what I got out of the guy by playing a little hardball. You need to read from the bottom as this reads like an email chain.
ME:
David,
Yes, for the 3rd time, I would like to see internal photos of the guitar as that is an excellent way to authenticate the instrument. Your reluctance to send photos and respond to my questions is leading me to believe that you are being deceptive. Prove me wrong! Send pics of the inside of the guitar and your best price. You do want to sell it don't you, or would you prefer to unload it on someone will not ask questions?
I look forward to the pics and your best price.
Regards,
Jim
SELLER:
ok then jim
if you really want me to start pulling the thing apart for pictures i will. you really know how to make pals by the way.
ask yourself this. why would i even bother to entertain you and many others with replies if my integrity or that of the guitar was doubtful
david.
ME:
Hello,
I'm a little confused. You put the guitar on eBay to sell it and when prospective customers ask for detailed photos and specific information regarding the guitar to validate it's authenticity your response is that your heart is not into selling the guitar.
Additionally, I asked for your best price and received an ambiguous response stating that a "respectable offer" may tip the balance. These are responses that frankly cause me to question the guitar's authenticity and your integrity.
If you are interested in selling the guitar, please send me detailed photos of the body cavities of the guitar including the bottom of the pick ups, jack, control pots and switch.
I look forward to your response.
Jim
SELLER:
i have to be honest here - my heart is not really for a sale. i have had the guitar for many years and simply cannot decide whether i can bear to part with it. i hope that as a lover of these 6 stringed beauties, you can understand this. what may tip the balance is a respectable offer on the grounds that the guitar is exactly as i have described.
