Vintage solid bodies vs. vintage hollowbodies

Post by beatcomber »

I'm waiting on the arrival of a '64 615, and I'm wondering how it will sound compared to a vintage 300-series Rick.

Can anyone offer a tonal comparison of their vintage solid body vs. their vintage 330 or 360?

I used to have a '69 Electro ES-17 (like a Rick 425), and found it to be more aggressive sounding than a 300-series.
