Good news! After being told on May 14th, when I placed my order, it would take 6 months to deliver, I learned today my 340/12 JG finally is being shipped from Santa Ana, CA according to the dealer that ordered it for me. He says he normally receives the guitar within a couple of days of the invoice so it could arrive by Friday. Will this be a long two days or what??????????

That's good news, indeed! A new guitar is always a thrill. Especially a great new guitar as desirable as a Rick/12. Congratulations from here as well.

Thanks, guys. And I really appreciate all the great advice and info I got by coming to this board. I don't have my first Rick yet and I am already trying to figure out a way to get another one and start a collection! I guess it's a sickness

I am a relatively new participant at this website.

I currently own two Rickenbackers; a 360/12v64, and a 325v59. One would think this would be an adequate amount for any decent person.

When I first came to this website, it was in the hope that such massive exposure to Rickenbacker information would assist in minimizing the incessant cravings for Rickenbacker guitars that I have been experiencing, and have felt ever since my first contact with them.

Sadly, just the opposite has been the case. After observing and participating in various forums on your website, my addiction to Rickenbackers is now more out of control than ever.

For shame, Sir, for shame!

(Uh, excuse me... I need to go to the "Ricks for sale" page for a moment; I just know there's a certain blonde Capri that's waiting for me...)

I can relate to this...... having waited for 32 years to own a ric, I bought a 4003 and a 360/12 just before xmas and now have sourced a 370/6 and placed the order ******huge grin****. Im not addicted just an afficionado ( sp?)

Some guys, shall we say, "over 40", spend a fortune buying red sportscars; WE buy ourselves multiple Rickenbackers!

Yeah...you baby boomers have too much money and are driving up the prices of Ricks by purchasing too many. Now we youngsters in our 30s can't afford them. Please stop buying them (listen to a lot of disco when you feel the urge to buy one) and sell 1/2 of your Ricks to us youngsters. Why bother with the Byrds and Beatles when you have REM and the Smithereens? I think we should get the government involved here. Rick On!!!

Well, I got it today on my 34th wedding anniversary! I drove up to Mauldin and picked up my 340/12. But don't worry, I did lay it down long enough to take my wife out to dinner.

Then, back to the Rix-perience! I haven't had fingers this sore since I first started playing in 1965. Then, I taped cotton balls on the ends of my fingers so I could practice a little longer. Today, I was out of tape. But I gave a fair account of myself before I lost feeling in the left hand. What a machine! Ricks Rule!

Well, it appears lightning does strike twice in the same spot. I am expecting my second Rick thru UPS on or about Wednesday -- a 330/6 FG. I'm sure this will complete my set of Ricks (already own a 340/12 JG). I'm positive I won't ever need to buy any more. Two Ricks should be enough for anybody, right? I mean I practically promised my wife this would be the last one. Well, okay, I would like to have maybe just one more, say a 1997. But I'm sure that will be a long time off. Right?

Jay, a "set" of RICs is never complete! There's always room for another. I just ordered a 4004 L in Desert Gold. (And I don't even play bass - yet!)
