Toaster vs button top

Post by GT »

I'm intrigued by the pick-up set used by Mark Arnquist in the so called "wings basses". The toaster neck p/u and the button top bridge p/u. Does anyone out there have this p/u arrangement? If so, what do you think? I've only had the chance to hear (first hand) toasters in a bass once, this also had the horseshoe and was at a store so I really didn't get to mess with it to much. Would like to hear any opinions.
