That Dark Sunburst

I want a 360 with the dark sunburst, gold pickguard and oven knobs like the image on these pages (of the 335 c1956 prototype shown on page 61 of the B&D Ric book).

This is such a beautiful guitar, why isn't it a production variation?

grsnovi: I guess the closest thing they made in 'modern' times to the older brown sunburst finish was Autumnglo, which they discontinued some time ago. Why it is not around anymore or why they phased it out is a question that may be bset answered by John Hall...after Fireglo came out it seems the brown sunburst decreased in popularity..

I guess that's why they invented paint remover and spray guns...

Maybe this will be my first REAL re-fin project?
