I think that this is what John Hall has in store for us.

If that bass ever played that ****** song "Possum Kingdom", I dont want it anywhere near me, despite the garish finish. Image

Interesting. I once declined joining a band because their guitarist asked me to 'use any bass guitar but a Rickenbacker'.
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.

I actually like it! Jesus in a hot rod touches something truly stupid within my soul.

Sergio, I have found in the past, that if you play a Rickenbacker, then it makes the rest of the band feel inferior. This is clearly what happened in your case....phillistines!

Jealousy is a terrible thing!!!!!
'Rickenbacker'...what a name! After all these years, it still thrills me.

That thing needs a paint stripping and refinish into something more decent and more befitting a Rick. IMHO.
I recently went back to playing a Rickenbacker bass. Its like meeting an old friend again

I like the bright colors and silly quality of it. I wouldn't do it myself but I might buy one like it if the price was right.

I like it too. I don't care much for Jesus in a race car, but I like the mix of colors on the front body and headstock. I'm curious to see what this will go for.
Buy it before someone else does.

So are we voting for Acid Glo as the 2005 colors? Does the bass come with 3D glasses?

I don't hate the color scheme. It could also be kind of cool to have a zebra bass...
