Left-Handed Rickenbacker Basses....some questions....

Post by leftybass »

Hello once again...it is my understanding that the 4001S given to Paul McCartney in 1965 was the first left-handed Rickenbacker bass ever made. It just seems to reason that there would have been more made here and there as time progressed....In saying this, I have yet to see one that exists between his and my 1972 4001LH. One other artist who played a lefty 4001 was Ed Gagliardi of Foreigner(his was Fireglo, with check-binding and crush-pearl inlay ca. 1971-72). Does anyone know of '60's vintage 4001S-LH basses or 4001LH basses, 'cause it would be neat to see some of the other 'kindred spirits' that are out there in left-handed world. Cheers to all.
