Ric bass sighting

Post by melibreits »

Just sat down and watched Third Day's new LiveWire concert DVD this afternoon--my Christmas present to myself, LOL! Anyway, about 10 minutes into the "Rockumentary" segment of the DVD there is footage of them noodling around in the studio before cutting some demos, and there is a very brief shot of Tai Anderson with a mapleglo Ric bass, a 4003S, I think! Normally he plays a Musicman....

I love Third Day, I saw them this year in Nampa, Idaho. It was a great concert. Off their Offerings cd, song number 6 (My hope is in you); the intro sounds like a Ric 12 string to my ears.

Paul, Third Day is my all-time favorite band.... I haven't yet had the opportunity to see them in concert, though. I think the intro to that song sounds kind of Rickish, too. So does the little riff after the chorus in "Rockstar," although they were not using a Ric in the concert DVD. On their website they used to have a photo of the band that you could download as wallpaper, and in it Mac Powell was holding a lefty Ric 360.

Third Day is really good. Who says country music has no RIC's. I just saw a Sawyer Brown video where the bass player had a Jetglo 4003. Could have been just for the video, don't know. Nice to see just the same.
