12 string general information wanted

Post by loverickbass »

I'm a newbie to the 12 string world and was wondering where on the web I can find info like how to tune the darn thing.

Cole: Tune the main strings (the first in each pair) as you would any six string guitar. For strings pairs E, A, D, and G, tune the second(harmonic) string in each pair an octave higher. Tune B and E strings in unison.

Example: Ee Aa Dd Gg BB EE where "E" is the standard tuning and "e" is an octave higher.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Thanks Peter! I wanted to get this info and be ready when it gets here in a day or so. I just ordered a 370_12 from Mike Parks at the Ric Page.
