Old Brown Shoe - Repeated Chorus at the Fade-Out

Post by mikestop »

Hi. Not sure if this has been answered already but, I've managed to figure out every word & every background mumble on all the recordings. The one thing I have never been able to figure out is "What the Hell" they are singing in the chorus at the end of Old Brown Shoe. Kind of sounds like (Look ooout Susie Q)- or - (Look ooout Movie Q)! Anyone know for sure? Now, Scuse me while I kissthisguy!!

During George's Live In Japan they simply sing a "Doo day doo doo day".

On the studio version it sounds more like "Doo day doo doo doo".

I don't think there's actual words, although I used to think it was something like "Judy... Ju Ju-day"

I think it's "Truly, truly gone"! At least that's what they're singing at the end of this song at the Concert for George.

Yep, that's what they're singing there at the CFG. The recording just doesn't sound like that ("truly gone") at all, though. I think Patrick's "Ju-day, Ju-day, Ju" is the closest thing to what I hear.

I seached a few Beatles lyric websites and all had the same end lyric of;

Tu la, tu ru tu
