Another Rickenbacker

Hello everyone; Mike D. here with something to report. My daughter, Lucinda, has mentioned to me a few times that she's the only one in the family who doesn't have a decent guitar on which to practice and learn. Yesterday was her fifteenth birthday, and as she has really admired my recent Rickenbacker aquisitions, ("It's beautiful!" - the 360/6 FG; and, "That's so cool!" - the 325v59 TUR.); and rather than give her a cheap, non-descript clone guitar that would probly only frustrate a student, with lousy action and tuning problems, we presented to her a new (4/01) Rickenbacker 620/6 JG! She was very suprised and thrilled, and it was a thrill to give her such a fine gift. She plugged into an amp we 'just happened' to have standing by and played "Louie, Louie".(She didn't sing!) It was great fun.
Once again, as far as I can tell, I bought a fine guitar. Well crafted fit and finish. The action is very playable, but I'll lower it a little more and I don't anticipate any problems. And of course, there's that distinctive sound and styling that make Rickenbacker guitars 'so cool'. Well, that's the news for now. I'll introduce Lucy to the Forum soon. As ever, best regards to all you Rickheads.
