70's 360/0 with internal bracing

Post by 242_foxtrot »

I went to a local guitar store here in Orlando, today. The place has a 1974 360/6 in Mapleglo. The guitar has the internal bracing like a 60's 366/12. Has anyone ever seen this. I figured it was a left over body that was never finished. The guitar doesn't have checker binding though. Also, the top seemed thinner than 70's Rickenbackers. Just curious to know if anyone has ever heard or seen one.

Paul, so you're saying that the guitar has the wood block for the converter comb instead of the regular x-bracing? Hmm....

Hey John. Also, the guitar has a 24 fret neck. Small head stock, vintage name plate and stock Grovers.

They had internal bracing up until '84 or so. John H. was "the boss" when the change was made.
