John Entwistle's 4005
Anyone have any information on how many songs Who bassist John Entwistle used his 4005? I know he played it on "Tommy Can You Hear Me?" from the movie "The Kids Are Alright". Does anyone have any idea how long Entwistle played his 4005 and from what years?
Entwistle is a guitar collector. He owns a few hundred guitars and basses... I don't believe he ever really used the 4005 outside of recording (music to television) studios. He used a Rickenbacker 4001S, Danelectros, Precision bases, Gibson Thunderbirds, Alembics, Warwicks, and Status basses on stage, though... other basses he's been shown with over time were generally brought out for the promotional videos, including Mosrites, Fender Jazz Basses, and others, including the 4005.
That clip of "Tommy Can You Hear Me" was done for German TV around '69.
