I guess we'll see. I'm thinking there's probably a collector out there who would pay that for the guitar (especially given the condition) if it's really what it's described as being -- a 1964 Rose Morris that was part of the first group of Rickenbackers imported to the UK.

Lawton, DA71 is certainly a low number. I hope he gets his price. I have an Oct 65 in just as nice condition & they go for $AUS7k down here. No bites so far.

Just to put things in perspective, it was made before John Lennon's 1964 325, which is DB122. Paul's 4001-S is DA23, only 48 away.
