Alternative Rickenbacker 12 String Tunings
I an wondering what alternative tunings that owners have tried with their Rickenbacker 12 Strings?
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

I use a Dminor tuning to great effect lately.
This is (6th to 1st string)
D-A-D-F#-A-D this gives me major and minor chords and allows for 'modal' tones ...I can get a HUGE sound from it .
I have also used D-A-D-D-A-D and D-A-D-G-A-D lots of time
The standard Drop D tunings are more usable 'quickly' ,but lets face it ....moving out of standard tuning on a 12 string is a walk on the plank ....you need lots of patience and then you sure don't switch back for a while .It sure isn't like playing with tunings on a six string .
