Hehe..what some people think these things are worth floors me. $1800 starting bid? Puh-leez!

I especially like this comment, given that this is what - ? - 3rd or 4th listing?

"DON'T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE TO PLACE YOUR BID!! ITEMS LIKE THIS DON’T LAST LONG SO DON’T MISS OUT!!"
Above e-mail is inactive. try ed_ardzinski@**** where **** is Hotmail.com or Yahoo.com. I tend to see things inthe hotmail box quicker...

It is most definitely guitar center. That is why the price never changes and the bass keeps popping back up.

This is the fourth go 'round for that bass. Apparently the clue train does not make regular stops at GC.

That's what happens when it comes to the fact that they are just in it for the money and have no real concept of what the bass is actually worth.

Everytime I see that bass posted, I keep an eye on it... just because it was "born" so close to my (ex) '77 MG's birthday!

Should'a never sold that bass!Image

Damn you rent payment! Damn you to hell!Image
My first bass was a Rickenbacker...
My best bass is a Rickenbacker...
My last bass may very well be a Rickenbacker

Oh, I finally get it! The seller ID gcrepXXX is different Guitar Centers. I have been trying to figure out if this is some guy with multiple ID's or what. This seller(s) has been discussed here about the high prices and chance of not getting the item, even with a winning bid. Now it makes perfect sense that the "creep" is all these GC locations. Just goes to show you that I can learn eventually.
No matter where you go - there you are.

This GC is the one closest to me. I've played this bass a few times. They have four used Ricks there, all heavily overpriced. One has been HEAVILY modded with new pickups, etc...

Hm, 70s MG 4001s really uninspire me for some reason. Maybe because there's a shedload of them around.
