Help me choose my 4001c64 color

Post by highway_star »

I'm thinking about placing an order for a c64, but what color - fireglo, mapleglo or jetglo? It's too bad I can't talk the factory into a blueburst.

I'm not sure you can order one in Jetglo. Yes they do exist, but they are generally basses that have flaws in the wood and require an opaque finish. A RIC retailer would probably have an answer for you.

Ron,

Go for a fireglo c64 since you have a mapleglo v63. Man, you are accumulating a very impressive collection in a short period of time.

Why wait? Call Motor City Guitar, Waterford, MI they have a nice dark FG in stock as of a couple of weeks ago when I was last there. Nice!

If I were to purchase a C64, it would be FG!

Another vote for FG. JG would be cool, since it's a rare item. I would rather have a 4001C64S (MG of course) than a 4001C64 MG.

Well that is the advantage of having the major bills paid off. I have more money for toys Image.

If I do get the c64, I was planning on ordering it from Russ. I haven't made up my mind yet on getting one, but I wanted to see what color folks here preferred.

Don't screw around with a decision as important as this one. I recommend you get all three finishes. You'll be the envy of everyone on your block

I inquired about the JG at Rhoads. He's modified it extensively and he said it had some tailpiece issues, so it's not for sale.

Oh well, I have time. Besides, FG is starting to appeal to me.
