...just kiddin' about the guitars but I would like to know what you guys are doing for straps. I would love to find a nice leather strap with a peace symbol on it for my 370_12. I think they would tie in nicely with the guitar, kinda would give it a little more Byrds vibe. I would show you mine but it wouldn't be too interesting. Just your standard Fender POS ones. I never really have given much thought about the strap until now. I guess if I'm going to have a nice RIC I should at least give them a proper strap.

I'd like to get hold of a couple of Ric straps, JC but the guys down here reckon they're almost impossible to get and are usually pre-sold. Might have to do a bit more investigation.
I'm using boring old Fenders at the moment. The white cotton is comfortable and looks OK with the Fireglo 330/6 and 660/12 but something wider in a soft leather would be great! Or anything with Rickenbacker on it!

For Christmas my sister gave me a suede Levy's strap in bright blue, and I am currently using it on my Ric acoustic (a rather bright contrast to the Fireglo, but somehow it works).... I love this strap, because it doesn't slide around at all like my other nylon ones do.... However, I sense that this strap will someday find its true match when I put it on a Blueburst!

I just discovered these straps and I really like them. I have a variety of guitars and I like different straps.

For a bit of the more extreme, Jodi Head has been making custom straps for the stars for years. But her production line straps are very nice and very well made. I've met Jodi at the NAMM Show in Anaheim and she is a very nice lady.

I use Rickenbacker straps (by Levy's) on my Rics. They're better (seems to me) than the ones I see at the shop and have different fasteners. I like vintage style straps (leather with a shoulder pad) for most of my electrics. I do have a Vox signature strap on my Teardrop XII.

The top strap is my favorite, and the one I use on my blue 4003. My wife bought it for me and I like the suns vibe. The construction is good too - it is backed with leather that I like and am used to using. It's by Levi's and I've seen it in a few guitar shops, also comes in blue and red in addition to brown.
The bottom one is an official Rickenbacker padded leather strap. I got it mail order from Rickenbacker about 10 years ago. I don't use it, because it doesn't fit me and my bass well. I can see how it would be nice for a guitar, though.

Gee, Dean. If you don't use that black strap, let me buy it off you. I have always liked that style strap, and I especially like the narrow width of the strap.
I actually have a couple that are similar to that in brown, but they're wider. Black would go nicely with my JG 325C58. In fact, it would look nice on my bright red 620/12 with black hardware, binding & pickguard. And I promise I'll take good care of it and give it a good home.

I have the Levy's vintage style black crocodile strap on all my instruments. Their shiny surface makes my Ricks even more dashing!
My Rickenbacker strap is on my Nikon camera. The non-slippery quality of the shoulder pad's underside suede secures my camera pretty well when I'm in swinging photo actions.

Umm, if you took the photo of your bass with the Nikon, how did you take the picture of your Nikon? With a Rickenbacker camera?

Haha! Dazed and confused in sweet old California, Paul?
The Shadow pic was taken with my Nikon FM while the pic of the Nikon was taken with a friend's Nikon D100. The lighting conditions were practically the same. You can really see the differences in saturation, warmth, depth, "realness" and details between analog and digital there even though both are presented in digital form on screen...just like the difference you hear between AAD and DDD CD's or the differences between analog effects and a POD, IMHO.

I too am a "Get'm Get'm" supporter. Not only do they make really cool looking straps, a portion of their proceeds go towards animal rescue causes.
Here's one of the Get'm Get'm straps that I own.
Seems that the other one I have was a limited edition. A nice light brown paisley style that goes well with my Monty Brown 4003. I'll try to snap a pic of it.
