Here is a 360 VP with Bigsby shown on Ed Roman's site.

Wow. Those grew on me FAST!

Please consider my formerly well-considered opinion to be now ill-considered.

And, BTW, Melissa, that turquoise 325 is absolutely unequalled!

"Premonition" DVD????

I've mentioned this before (in great hope) - I can't get that for love or money over here!! Well........ not in PAL format, anyway. Anybody got a copy (and I don't mean "copy") that they'd like to dispose of?

Speaking of Bigsbys on Rickenbackers, does anyone here know anything about the Fireglo Capri that Mike Campbell plays in the Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers "PBS/Soundstage" concert? It has a Bigsby B5 mounted near the bridge but I can see a RIC trapeze tailpiece also. There are some still pictures of it from another show here:

hey Kevin..... the new guitar is GREAT! thanks again. I'm going to leave it just as it is. My band mates say it sounds even better than the 1980 360. I haven't yet done a side-by-side sound comparrison. One thing for sure, it's a bit lighter weight-wise which is nice.

As far as my older 360 goes, maybe I'll turn it into THIS kind of bigsby/toaster thang (I already have the bigsby... actually two - this kind and the longer type that screws in at the strap peg):

RE: the Tom Petty thing, here's my theory. Mike has the B5 (or 50, or 500) fastened to the trapeze using the two rear screw holes on the Bigsby. The strings keep the whole thing in tension and therefore in place, it's easily reversible and there are no holes to drill in that irreplaceable Capri.

As the strings pass UNDER the front bar of the Bigsby Paul, I don't think the strings would tension the unit flush to the gtr....

You know, I thought about that, Tony, having just installed one of these on one of my Gretsches only three days ago!

My pictures are not clear enough to see if Mike's strings pass under the front bar. This is such a strange setup that maybe they pass over the bar... I know it sounds weird, but it looks pretty weird, too. Does anybody have a clearer picture to put this one to bed?
