Don't worry about it. Mike Lulls are my main gigging basses, but there's still a place for a Ric in my arsenal.

I liked the dual concentric pots I had on my 4004Ci. I felt like I had the greatest tonal flexibility available.

And to think I went into the shop that day to look at a Geddy Lee Jazz Bass.

That bass sure is getting around.

Maker's Mark is OK, but Woodford Reserve does it for me.

I'm looking for one in red and then add concentric pots and Barts.

John Patitucci is on the cover of the March '07 Bass Player.

If memory serves me correctly, Geddy was phasing in his Jazz Bass during the moving pictures album.

There are two Rics in the March edition of Bass Player magazine. There's a photo of Squarepusher holding a Ric on page 44. The vintage bass article shows a '69 4001 that looks all original except for the bridge pickup.

My '99 v63 measures out at about 7/8" depth, 1 3/4" width at the nut and about 2 1/4" - 2 3/8" at the 12th fret. The depth seems pretty consistent throughout the length of the neck.

This thread inspired me to hook up my Ashdown rig one last time. Well it probably was a good thing to do since I'm not so sure I want to part with the head now. The cabinets are no big loss since I can adjust the EQ to make Epifanis match them at a significant weight savings, but that head just has ...
