"Love Me Do"-- how to play the harmonica intro
Hi, everyone: Lately, I've been trying to play "Love Me Do"-- along with a harmonica. But, when I try to play along with the Beatles' recording, the harmonica just doesn't sound right. It seems to be a little "off." I looked at various web sites for help, but nothing seems to be ...

Re: New McGuinn DVD???
Hi, David: Welcome to the Forum!!!! Yeah, Roger e-mailed me a few months ago to say that his next CD would be the long-awaited "Christmas" album-- supposedly with lots of Rickenbacker instrumentals. But-- he also said that the "Sequel to Chestnut Mare" would be on it, too!!!! Karl

New McGuinn DVD???
Hi, all:
When I last saw Roger in concert in May, his wife mentioned to me that PERHAPS a new DVD-- a concert performance-- might be coming out soon.
Has anyone heard any more info on this?

New Remastered Beatles Box Set
HI, all:
Does anyone know how much the new Beatles Box Set of 14 recordings is going to be-- and will the Box Set have anything extra that buying the individual CDs will not have?

Re: New and Old Roger
In terms of the sound of the Rickenbacker, I still love the early period-- 1965, especially the Mr. Tambourine album. I find that this was the era of the most "jingle-jangle"-- and I love it!!

McGuinn in concert last night
Last night, in Norfolk, Connecticut, I saw Roger for probably the 50th time in my life!!! Great new venue, small, only 300 seats. As soon as my friend and I turned the corner to enter the room, we were amazed by its coziness. Our seats were only about ten feet away!!! The usual-- autobiographical to...

Re: Help!!! Teach me about Vox amps!!!!
Hi, all: I just came back from Sam Ash, where I played a VOX AC30cc2-- without the blue Celestion speakers. Asking price was $1,199. When I ran my RM 370-12 through it-- with the original McGuinn compressor and then with a Janglebox-- I couldn't believe how LOUSY it sounded. Even the department &quo...

Help!!! Teach me about Vox amps!!!!
Hi, everyone: I know that I just asked about Fender amps (which are great). But, my local "mom & pop" guitar store here--one of only two in Connecticut that sells Rickenbackers--has suggested that I look into a Vox amp for my Roger McGuinn RM370-12. The store is Banko's, in Ansonia. Of...
