Re: Uneven muting on 4003s

Jeff, per chance, would you have a link to those interviews?
"Check out some of the recent video interviews by Geddy. He demonstrates finger playing and palm muting."

Re: Help with registering my Ricks

Thanks Kris for your input, you were correct about my bass being registered by a previous owner, in this case it was the original dealer. It would seem they may be going through old sales and registering them on Rickresource. They sold my bass in the early nineties. Your advice to contact Peter was ...

Help with registering my Ricks

Hey guys,
Long time-no see, I've been out of the loop for quite a while. By the way I love the new look. I was just going to register my two Ricks and I was looking over the ones registered already and I discovered to my horror the someone North Carolina has my guitar, so to speak. what I mean is ...

Gary thanks for the offer, but a thanks goes out to Jeff for inspiring me to attempt straightening it myself. It took about a day of slow, careful clamping and finishing it to near perfect with two screws towards the back end of the tailpiece. Now to just get some strings, as luck would have it, my ...

4003s5 tailpiece

Hey guys, I just picked up a 4003s5 MG/black. I'm so pumped at getting to play it, however I need one critical component, the tail piece is toast. The lift is about 90 degrees to the fretboard. Does anyone have lines on where I could acquire a black 5 string tailpiece or a replacement bridge that ...

My new birds-eye PG

Hey guys, I finally got pics of my new birds-eye maple PG that I made recently in my shop. I'd like to made one out of fiddle-back maple if I could find some. This project definitely gives me a reverent respect to the guys that have the knowledge and talent to refinish these guitars, guys like Ted ...

At risk of being blackballed, I've noticed no-one ever seems to mention players such as Steve Harris, Billy Sheehan, or Cliff Burton. Along with Geddy and the other giants these guys have been a big influence, IMHO. I recently learned of a rick player from the early 90's named Adrian Davison, who I ...

Gentlemen, if I'm not mistaken that guitar is a "bolt-on" neck now, look closely at the skunk line where the crack is, that looks like the head of a phillips screw.

Congrats Ben, very nice. Fireglos are very beautiful. As for pics on the desktop, I am guilty also, as well as carrying pics with me at work to show my patients what can be done if one quits smoking. I used my cigarette money to finance my rick and I tell them that in hopes of inspiring them. Guilty ...

Frode, thanks for the pic. I am so jealous, Jethro Tull is one band I have wanted to see and never seem to get the chance. From the pic it looks like you had a great seat and hopefully a great time too.
