I know you can get a toaster in a new 4003 but can you get a dock neck on a 4003. I'm just not a fan of the inlays. I'm sure i'll get some guff for that one but hey, as I always say, One man's trash is another man's trash!!

I figured it would be cost prohibitive. how often does a 4003S or v63 turn up around here? I have my heart set on mapleglo but I only ever see fireglo in the v63. Also, what does a v63 go for these days?

Has anyone here ever bought a new 4003 and turned it into a v63 body? As in take the binding off, sand it down a little and re-finish it. if so, how labor intensive was it and was it worth it? Seems like you could get the benefits of the new electronics plus the nicely contoured body.

Is a pro setup worth the extra money I would have to spend to get it? I have 2 price quotes: One includes the setup before shipping but is about $150 more than the other. What does everyone think?

How much slimmer is the new neck? Is it even that big of a difference. Right now I play a Ibanez 200GSR. Pretty low-end as far as basses go. Would the neck be a big difference compared to the neck I play on now?

What month did the new features take hold? If I put down a deposit on a 4003 MG from The Ric Page that they ordered in 09/06, would it have the slimmer neck, dark headstock wings, and the vintage tone selector?

I would imagine the Close to the Edge DVD is in the vein of the classic albums thing that was done with Dark Side of the Moon.

Anybody have it? If so, what say ye?

I can never find any Mable Greer's Toyshop material anywhere. Did they ever put out a record? If not, where can I get my hands on some of their stuff?
