Re: My truss rod adjustment tool
This statement is confusing: lean the neck at about the 7th fret on my knee with the body hanging down and then snug up the rods. The weight of the body hanging will bring the neck to its correct position. Does this mean using your knee as a leverage point, one hand pushing on the headstock, lifting...

Re: '67 365 cavity shot
What does the 365-'R' and 365-'T' mean on these respective guitars?

Re: Vintage G&G case
Thanks for the replies. You'd think with the amount of work that goes into a Rick they would have used a tighter fitting case (or internal padding). Interestingly enough, the previous owner had been hauling it around in a generic 335 style case, which fit almost perfectly except for the angle that i...

Vintage G&G case
So I finally received the original silver/blue lined G&G case for my '67 365 from the previous owner. Case is in great shape for it's age, inside and out. Looks great! However, what is the deal with the fit lol! It's like they forgot to include enough padding in the critical areas so the guitar ...

Re: NGD 1967 365!
I know right. for some reason that has been happening more than not lately much to my wife's chagrin. It just usurped the 330 for the gig on Saturday! I restrung it last night with 11's. I noticed that the bridge may be on backwards (as compared to other pics I've been looking at) as the adjustment ...

NGD 1967 365!
This just in: 1967 365 in Mapleglo. I walked into the guitar shop yesterday (actually to buy some strings for my 330), when the shop owner asks "you like Rickenbackers, right? Do you want to buy this?" I told him I already owned a Ric, and then I opened up the non-descript case. Whoo! Anyw...

Re: Gibson Pump Polish safe on Rickenbacker 360?
Basis: I have used several different guitar polishes (including the Gibson) on the Ric and they work fine. Do you really think Gibson would make a polish that would be harmful to any guitar finish? I haven't seen any " Caution! do not use on Rickenbackers, they have poly conversion varnish!&quo...

Re: Gibson Pump Polish safe on Rickenbacker 360?
If it's good enough for a vintage tele and Gibsons, it's good enough for a Ric!

Re: what cleaner/polish do you use on your Ric?
I've used pledge on my guitars for years. What's the problem with dimethicone? and why would I ever want to refinish my guitar (unless it was caught in a flood or fire?) I don't see any problems. I figure if it's good enough for heirloom quality cherry dining room tables, its good enough for a Ricke...

Re: Ruby 330
The sound is quite flexible- from being very full with the neck pickup, and of course nice and Ricky on the bridge, lots of twang. Using the 5th knob as a blend for the middle position, which I use the most live, as I can gravitate between thick and thin. Running stereo with a '57 deluxe and a Princ...
