Stripped and Ready for Action!

I've just switched bands, from an instrumental prog/rock trio to a full on blues rock trio in the style of Rory Gallagher / Hendrix. Cables and Leads

Ok - we've had loads of great feedback om strings and amps etc - here's a new topic - does a particular type of lead / cable suit a Rick Bass better than others? - or doesn't it matter?

I'm thinking more mono mode here rather than stereo. Do Rickenbacker endorse anybody?

I had no lessons - don't use my little finger, don't know S**** about scales. If I had my time over again I would definitely take lessons and music theory. A Mis-spent youth I think! Image

My favourite lemmy album is a live thing recorded around 77 in birmingham, England - its little more than a bootleg really, but the playing is fantastic - the rickenbacker sound is terrific - really drives it along.

cd is called "Blitzkreig on Birmingham"

Saw them last year in Bristol - still ...

The Trace Elliott 1 x 15 combo works really well for me, although I use the 4x 10 extension cab for live work. Can you still get Trace Elliott stuff?

Hey Francesco - wonderful playing - these are great clips.

We were in Rome recently and stayed at a great hotel called the Franklin, which called itself a music hotel - fantastic place!

Do you know it at all?
