If I was forced to play a Stevie Ray Vaughn tune I would give up music and take up drums.

What's the difference between a bull and a funk band?

On a bull, the horns are up front and the a**hole is in the back!

Ha! You got me thinking Will and I just bought a whole H/S/S set on ebay for $75 for a project guitar I'm working on.

These p'ups really sound awesome.

I had a couple problems with PayPal that were never resolved so I don't use them anymore. It does at times hurt my ebay business, but it's still better than dealing with those people when something goes wrong.

A couple years ago there was a guy, "Tubegarden Amps" that ripped a bunch of people off ...

The absolute best metal pickups of all time, (for my money anyway) are the old mid 80's Jackson p'ups that came in the "A" model Charvel/Jackson guitars. The ones with the plain black plastic covers with the embossed "Jackson" logo.

I have a mid 80's Charvel/Jackson and those p'ups absolutely ...

Damn it! Why did I have to see that! Now I have to build one so I can have that color to go with my other "Ric-a-likes."

Your in luck John! The BD2 is equally transparent. I was doing a bit of a "pickup shoot out" at my guitar techs place over the weekend. I brought my '77 Deluxe reverb with Weber P12NT speaker in it and my Boss BD2. While we all liked the pickups we were testing a real lot, it seems the star of the ...

Right on John. I have the TS9 too. (and a King of Tone)

The BD2 is definitely much fuller sounding than the TS9 with a much more refined low end and fat bottom. It also sounds better as a clean boost or when used as a light OD. I have both on my pedal board.

I use a Boss BD2 modded by Analogman. www.analogman.com

This pedal gives you everything from a sweet, clean boost, to a hairy distortion and everything in between.

But perhaps the best feature is the way it retains your bass tone when you click it on. The lower strings remain full and robust ...

It's kinda crazy. The reality hasn't sunk in yet. I believe there were only about 900 of these made which makes this piece extremely rare. Many of them have been hacked up and converted to flame tops with PAF's. I sure do enjoy playing it though.

I never dreamed I'd ever own a 50's Les Paul. They're just totally out of sight in price these days. The truth of the matter is, I'm not even really a "Les Paul guy" as I much prefer other brands and styles. This one is an investment piece that will come out to play occasionally. It does sound ...

No Jason, it didn't smell at all. It didn't actually get burnt. It was in it's case and the it got hot enough to melt the plastic on the front of the guitar and blister the paint, but it didn't get charred anywhere. In fact, the pickups still work and the all the plastic on the back of the guitar ...

This guitar is a 1955 Les Paul Custom. It was in a fire and the insurance company covered a major portion of it's value. A few years later a friend of mine told me about it and brought it over to my house. He said, "my mom says she has to get $50 for it." I gave him $100. I told him what it was ...
