Re: Geddy's New Rickenbacker

Geddy played his new Rick last night. Looked great on stage, sounded like Geddy, but the shoes were off.

He used it on By-tor.

Re: What brand of Naphtha do you use

The VM&P in the name stands for "Varnish Makers & Paint"
I agree with Jeff, I've used it for years.

Re: Geddy's New Rickenbacker

Nice custom bass, but it really doesn't really scream "Geddy" does it?

Isnt that aggravating? I love Hipshot parts, but between the price and availability of some products, I wish there were other vendors.

The bass looks great regardless. Nice job. :D .

Not to go squirrel on everyone, but I've been in and out for the last few years. Is Paul W. still around?

Re: Sale?

So did anyone pick one of these up?

I thought in the 4005 universe, $3K was pretty good price for a brand new one.

Re: Sale?

I agree with the quality of the Chinese / Indonesian made instruments. You have to play a few, but there are a lot of good ones out there. The biggest issue I see is weight. Cheaper instruments tend to be heavier.

Sale?

No affiliation, but I just noticed that Wildwood Guitars is having a pretty good sale on Rickenbacker basses. If you got the cash, might be a good time to pickup that 4005 you've been wanting.
