I think this has been an interesting debate (which I prefer to 'argument') - I think there have been good points made on both sides, and as admin says, as long as decorum prevails why not carry on? Perhaps through discussion and understanding everyone's sides, good may come from it!

Unfortunately Alex, having spend quite a number of years moderating a number of UK-based internet fora, I have to admit that I can see where John is coming from. :(

I don't like what John Hall said about the UK.
I think that basschat did what they had to. I had never visited it before this happened, but I've actually found it to be quite informative and the tone seems friendly for the most part.

Wild Nothing
A friend of mine turned me onto a new band a couple of months ago. Album all recorded by one guy I think although he's put a live band together. Listening to it I kept thinking "That sounds like a Ric" but I there was no information about it in the sleeve. Anyway, couldn't resist trying to find out ...

Re: Rickenbacker shopping in London
I found Denmark Street rather disappointing when I've been there. Sure they have some good stuff, but nothing caught my eye as being particularly special apart from a Gibson Moderne - not that I wanted to buy one, but its quite a rare sight!
