Nick

I believe the POS tele copy is a Hohner model called "The Prinz," so you're right and he can afford to trash it. I notice TP is playing his Martin Tom Petty signature model 12 string.

Is there any way of adjusting (lowering) the height /angle between the Accent VB and the bridge? I had one on my 1997 and thought it worked great (just as good as a bigsby and cooler looking) when I was using heavier strings, but with .10s (flatwounds) it seems that to get the bridge to work I have ...

Mike,
I thought the truss rod was broken on a 325v59 I had. I took it out to Steve Soest and the way I saw him check it was he removed the neck pup (two screws) and he pushed a screwdriver up the from the pickup side hole and out popped the threaded rod in the trc cavity (wasn't broken after all ...

Even though I really like the narrow width of a normal Rick neck (all my acoustics also have less than 1 3/4 widths) I have had no problem adjusting to the larger 380L neck. I don't know if it's the larger fingerboard radius or what, but I can play .011s comfortably on this guitar and they feel like ...

Guitar Center sale on 325c58

Thought you guys might like to know that GC has reduced the price on the c58 to $799, still $150 for the vintage case. Bought one this afternoon at that price, presumably it's a closeout price beyond Labor Day.

Maybe it's just me, but I really don't understand the "jangle" association with Pyramid flatwounds. Let's face it, "jangle" is the inherent sound these Ric 12 string guitars provide, and I think you could put nylon strings on them and they'd still out jangle any other guitar. Although they have a ...

Awesome guitar Peter, and well deserved. Just out of curiosity, I just bought a 1997SPC
(6 string) from POTR which looks similar. What are the distinctions between the 1993 and a 1997 models?

Florian,

Sorry for the bad lead - upon review I see that you are not interested in the MG with black trim.

Jerry,

I see from some of your posts that you're local to the Southbay/OC area. I have had good experience with Danny Ott at Guitar Doc West in Garden Grove (partner with Guitar Doc near the FV GC). The thing that's puzzling to me is that my 340 that they set up with clearly higher action and D ...

Dave,

I had already read Mr. Hall's and all previous posts before posting mine. Regardless of what the alloy or process is, the broken cross section does look like the pot metal out of a broken cast figurine.

As far as the age of the guitar, I have an even older 1980 340/12 with the R ...

Sorry guys,

Newbie posting error. Let me try again.

Just got my new (to me) 1991 381/12 FG Wed, bought off ebay and mint. Came with the Pyramids detuned for shipping. To my horror, shortly after getting it up to concert pitch the R tailpiece exploded. If you think popping a string will startle ...
