I tried Pyramids they're very stiff & 3 of them broke even though I've been playing years & have never broke strings often before. Expensive as well. Next!

I'm using Thomastiks flatwounds on my 360VP 12'string although you have to put together the set yourself.

These are my favourites for 12 ...

I've read reports that Roger designed the Fender 12 string "hockey head" & the semis Coranado series?

A friend of mine has a 67-68 sunburst Coranado 12 string with the hockey stick head. Nice guitar but no sustain due to the bolt on neck......!

I love a load of '60's music of all kinds but IMO the DC5 are one of the very worst artists of the era, I still can't work out why they are still popular in the US! Seemingly more so than England?

Coming from the swamps of Tott****m Middlesex, that means they aren't even a London group, a but ...

"What about charging the buyer the Paypal fees?

You can't (officially) do it as it is against Paypal's terms and conditions."

I've been hit many times by this & many sellers put it in their auctions as well!

I think I will only take Paypal for small amounts in future, I'd rather wait for a ...

I've read that the Vibrato & Reverb is SS but not directly in the signal path which is all tube That was an interview with the designer in an English Guitar mag about the AC30 CC.

Are there any alternatives to Paypal? Apart from cheques & stuff?

Not so bad for small cost items for the ease of use but they take a massive chunk of more expensive sales on using Paypal on Ebay plus the Ebay fees mount up as well.

What about charging the buyer the Paypal fees? Or is that a ...

Sorry I should have added above that Blues was just one of the types of US music (mostly but not exclusively Black) music that became popular on the underground & club scene in London in the early '60's amongst many other genres.

The older Guys I know used to laugh at English bands trying to play ...

Don't let that waster near the crack pipe again!

We've now got at least 2 generations of guitarists who don't have a clue about tone at all, people in the '80's were accused of using too many effects but at least they were trying to get different sounds at least.

Seems that nowadays most are ...

Ebay are a joke, worst thing is that they have almost destroyed the private classified papers like LOOT which hardly has anything in it anymore!

Sod 'em they are too greedy with their fees & Paypal deducting more cash afterwards.

So what if people trade off EBay, good luck to them, all EBay ...

Just pick up some original US / English tubes on EBay, Mullards Brimars, RCA, GE, etc

Pre amp tubes usually make the most difference in sound, they are at the start of the signal chain, Power Tubes are harder to get in pairs of quartets so unless you've got money to burn buy new ones.

I've ...

I did say I prefer Moon who is over the top but gets away with it probably because he was in a group that had more of a pop sensibility about their songs.

Mitch Mitchell is my favourite drummer probably because of the Jazz & Soul & other influences which I like in a drummer but hey I'm just a ...

Greg, As above I would make a guess for the Fairchild or the LA-2A, I believe that the 1176 was a later transistor version of the LA-2A.

Check out this forum for the LA-2A, I've got the PCB board version (still waiting for some parts)which should be a bit easier for me as I've only modded ...

Personally I love the early Who, (1st 3 albums) & have a lot of Beatles stuff so I would not like to choose between them.

As for Led Zep I think they are one of the most overrated groups, ever. It makes me laugh when the histories say that Page wanted a singer like Steve Marriott of the Small ...
