Thanks, I thought of that, but I need this thing gone faster than fast.
Keep your eyes peeled. In a week or so next up is my Tuxedo---the real deal.

Re: McCartney's love of the the "Zero Fret"...
Jerry, I think you may have nailed it. Check out this photo. It's clearly a leather strap tie in this photo, and it would of course go under the strings and in front of the nut.
If what I thought was a zero fret in the video is actually the nut , then it looks like there is something else (white ...

Re: McCartney's love of the the "Zero Fret"...
What kind of capo can you store UNDER the strings? You can clearly see the strings go OVER whatever is there. Hmm...

McCartney's love of the the "Zero Fret"...
Hello Beatles lovers!
We all know about Paul's love of zero frets on his bass guitars... His Hofner has one, his Rickenbacker 4001 has one, (my 4001C64S has one), but I never considered he'd carry this love of zero frets so far so as to put one on his Epiphone Texan acoustic guitar. Then while ...

Re: Beatles songs that changed your life?
Bangla-desh - by George Harrison... That song changed many lives, not only mine. It was George's concept of doing a "concert for..." that started all the "concerts for" causes, and many lives and much good has been done over the years because of his concept. I was lucky enough to have attended the ...

Re: Rick Bass Popularity
Our basses, guitars, drums, keyboards, etc., are just the tools of our craft---nothing more. Of course some will always consider them "fashion"... but that is not what music and playing is about. Try to think of it this way; make your playing your musical statement. Then, when you have successfully ...

Yep, those are the ones. It's been so long since I've looked at the model numbers I'm not sure what I have!Ric-a-holic wrote:
Are you refering to the EV B-210 cabinet?
I find they are great for the mids to upper mids without feeling scratchy like the SWR tweeter type thing.

Re: Recommend me an amp to go with my Ric Bass
Well, for me it's not so much about the "amp" subtleties as it is the cabinet. I'm partial to the old Karlson bass cabinets with a single 15" EVM speaker. For a club scene one Karlson cabinet with a second dual 10" EVM cabinet is all you need for even the loudest club gig. For outdoor concerts I ...

A nice way to get rid of the "proximity effect" that a large diaphragm condenser mic produces, and also get rid of the boomy acoustic guitar sound is to record the guitar with an omni capsule. I like to use a very inexpensive Oktava MC or MK-12 with the omnidirectional capsule on it. It's awesome ...
