Sergio's PUP's

Just a quick note to thank you guys and especially Sergio for the wonderful bridge pup he wound for me. High output is an understatement!
Sergio is a very cool dude to deal with and has a fantastic product.

Weak bridge pup output on a 4001

I have a 76 4001 that has very little volume from the bridge pup. The neck pup works great, but the bridge output is about 1/4 of the neck. Any ideas as to what I should begin with?

Will do Mark. I did visually check all of the solders and wiring which all look original
Mine does have the .00047 cap. What happens if I bypass it?

I just got a 76 4001. The neck pup is much louder than the bridge pup. The bridge pup has hardly any output. Is it the pup itself, ot maybe in the bridge volume pot?
Also, the input jack is very noisey when insturment cable is plugged in(crackling noise).
Where is the best place to buy new pups ...

'81 4001S

I just traded for an '81 4001S...I think? It has a set neck, no binding, mono jack, black pickguard and dots. It's white faded out to a really nice bannana yellow. I'm not planning on keeping it, so would like to know for sure what it is so I'll have an accurate description when I sell it.

Repaired!!!!!!!! Hot wire to bridge pup was broken in two different places. Turns out the wire was brittle all the way to the pot. Weird deal huh? Anyway, replaced it and now it sounds great.
Thanks for your help!

Yea Ed, it's also on the pit.
I get nothing thru the ROS jack at all. I'll bet you're right, it must be the pup. I'll get into it tonight to see if I can find a loose wire. I've also got a spare bridge pup I can try. I had hoped it might be something simple. This is not my first Ric, but it is the ...

It's more than likely the pup. I've check the jack and toggle and know they are working properly. I'll test the pup this evening.
BTW, thanks for the offer Jeff, but I live in Texas.
John, what's a ROS problem?
