Fireglo and mapleglo C64's go for the same money.
($3000 list price, on both) SamAsh wanted $2100+ to order one for me, but I got the best deal (and service) from a smaller store in Lexington Kentucky.
They're not cheap basses for sure, but if you ask me they're worth every penny.

Would keep the 4001C64, which my son calls "a flawless bass." I can't find anything wrong with it, or anything that I don't like.
The 4000 AG I got recently would be hard to let go of, though.
The 620? Ahhhhhhh, that's just a guitar!!

I've been checking ebay on this one to see where the price ends up, but as of yesterday the seller ended the auction early............I guess someone made him a hot offer! I hope someone from here got it.

I thought so too, Dave! I'm the lucky winner of this baby (those horrendous photos on ebay do it no justice at all.....) and am very happy with it. It's in very nice shape, and that Azure-glo color is starting to grow on me. I couldn't stand it the first time I saw it, on a 620 6-string. When doing ...

I love that picture! The trick for me is to get a shot of one of my raccoons with the bass..........but it's hard to get them to sit still long enough for a planned photo. Unless there's food involved. I'll have to work on this one..........
