mitch thank yo for the help. I am having a tough time in my mind buying a guitar for $1500 and then having it repainted. It just seems a waste. I imagine that when they refinish they will need to strip the guitar down and then paint it and they also have to deal with binding which makes it even more...

I am trying to find a 620 Blue Boy for sentinmental reasons. I am bummed not having my old rick. I know of a store that has brand new maple glo's should I buy one and have it refinished? I like fender. I dont really like gibsons but I do like fender. But with a rickenbacker its just different. I feel a bond at least did with my rick. I have never played one. I am looking for a 620 in blueboy and I ran accross a 350v63 in maple glo. I want a unique rick but I am sick of playing a fender. I was thinking of trying this one out because I miss my rick.

I just wanted to say a thank you for everyone that has and is helping me find a rickenbacker.

Its a bummer everyday playing a fender. I greatly miss my rickenbacker.

I dont buy to sell either. I dont even have a rickenbacker. But I have found while trying to buy a rickenbacker that color is important and causes big issues in trying to find the guitar you want.

I agree with some of your sentiments. But my thought is the blue boy and the sea green were not popular choices when they were made. They may gain some attention because of scarcity. I believe the Blueburst is going to be the most collectable and valuable of all the COY guitars. I say this because I talked to someone at rickenbacker who said it was the most requested color behind Montezuma Brown. However Montezuma Brown had a longer run therefore more guitars. I prefer plaintops...
