1998PT 8) in 1988 and I still have it.

I was actually on my wa y to buy a ruby 330 but whe I saw the PT for £50 more, I just had to have it! :) :)

Not bad at all Scotty and thanks for the tipoff :wink: however it was the 620/12 that interested me - solid body you see! Anyway I'll keep my eyes and ears open, something will come up I'm sure.

The 12AX7s are the pre-amp tubes, apparently the Chinese ones that come in the AC30CCs are pants. I've read quite a bit about them and it seems they are a weak point of the CC. Are you aware that the Surfcaster six-stringers have been "re-issued" (there's a company that's having them made in the Far East...) and they're going for around $600.00. Not quite exactly the same, but you have to admire the style--it's brilliant, IMO. Do you mean these? http://www.grbgu...
