No, my luthier made 4 frets fretboard from similar looking wood and we glued the addenum using duble side gluing tape, so this modification is reversible.

The origin of the white backround is more interesting. If You buy Prosciutto di Parma in the cuts, this is a pearl glossy white separating foil. So I made probably first toaster pick-up with the ham flavour
