Re: My 1st project Bass NBD

That's a gorgeous color. Great choice and great job of revamping a poor bass that really needed some TLC.

Re: Picked up this baby today - 4003 content

Pat,

While the rest on the bezel looks like a string, I've never had it interfere while playing with a pick. That "perch" is my favored spot to anchor my thumb while playing finger style but when I pick, I tend to strike the strings between the treble pup and the bridge. If you feel it may be an ...

Re: Picked up this baby today - 4003 content

Those bezels look great. The thumbrest is a great addition especially since that's the best spot to play. :) But does it get in the way if you're using a pick?

Re: Picked up this baby today - 4003 content

Thanks guys. 8) Once I get some new strings on this baby it'll really sound great. The stock strings are kinda dead. Oh and a quick question. I'm thinking about getting one of those bezels covers. Any suggestions about the best one to get?

Re: Picked up this baby today - 4003 content

I thought about getting the Ruby, but the neck on it was quite a bit fatter than this Mapleglo, so it lost out. :)

Picked up this baby today - 4003 content

Just picked up this bass today. Went into the music store just to look around (right! :)) and saw this sweet thing. Awesome neck on it. It's almost as thin as my old '74 4001. They also had one of the new Ruby red 4003's but this one trumped it big time. I've been looking at getting a Mapleglo for ...

Re: Bridge adjusting - saddle/screw loose.

I was upset and I apologize for that. I thought I was going to be stuck with a bad bridge and no help from them. Apparently they thought I was trying to send the bass in to be fixed since they said they couldn't help me.

Re: Bridge adjusting - saddle/screw loose.

You misread my meaning. I meant it was silly to say you only have 10 days to mail in the card. I got the bass back in November. I didn't want to mail in the card until I was sure I was keeping the bass, but by that time it was over 10 days. I'm not sure if there was a misunderstanding. I told him ...

Re: Bridge adjusting - saddle/screw loose.

Pat I've seen you post on both the RIC Forum and this one concerning your problem. A bit of patience would not go amiss at this point. You didn't mail in your warranty card, yet you expect warranty service...

I'm not expecting warranty service. I was just wanting a suggestion of what to do myself ...

Re: Bridge adjusting - saddle/screw loose.

You would think so, wouldn't you? The guy on the phone wasn't helpful at all. He told me that he couldn't help me if I hadn't sent in my warranty card. He said I could still send it in, even though I got the bass in November. But otherwise, they can't help me until they get the card. Craziness.

Re: Bridge adjusting - saddle/screw loose.

Well, I did call. Apparently I can still mail in my warranty card, but they can't help me until they get it. Guess I won't be playing this bass for a while.

Re: Bridge adjusting - saddle/screw loose.

Wouldn't that be a bit odd for it to be caught in the spam filter? I did email them again and if I don't hear anything by tomorrow I'll call. Hope I don't end up having to fork out money for a Hipshot replacement.

Oh really? I hope they'll help me then. I've emailed them twice now and no answer.
