Rotary switch, alternative for 5th knob?

The 5th knob has always seemed redundant to me. Its basically a second volume control for the bass PU. Anyway, I'm thinking of replacing it with a rotary switch. I have the ric humbucker in the bridge of my 360/12. After reading Mr. Hall's comments on how the humbucker was designed to have multiple ...

I just got a response from ric myself a little while ago. They said that same thing, Really weird that they would do that. Evidently, they do the same with the hi-gains.

Ric humbucker, difference between neck and bridge?

Does anyone here know the difference between the neck and bridge humbucker? is the bridge just wound to be hotter so the output level is the same between the two? Or, are there other, tone differences? I ask because I have a toaster in the neck and wonder if the neck version would have a closer ...

Correct neck bow for 360/12?

I got my 360/12 yesterday and after I tuned it, it seemed the neck had more of a bow than it should(more than my 330 ever had at least). Anyway, what should the bow of the neck be? And, what is the best way to measure? I have used the meathod where you capo on the 12th fret and measure with feeler ...

How muck neck adj. with pyramid switch?

I want to change my 360/12 over to pyramid flats. the guages are pretty similar to the ric set, but I seem to remember reading something about the flats having more tension. Does this mean that a neck adjustment is needed? if so, how much "adjusting" will need to be done?
thanks,
Josh

Ric humbucker or toaster in 360/12?

I have just spent several days pouring through the archives here. I have a new respect for rickenbackers. I have been playing them for many years, but I was always trying to make them soun different that what they were designed to do. until a few days ago, I was considering putting a full size ...

hmmmm. Well, it would be great if the rick HBs would work for me. I just get kinda wierded out whenever I hear the term "single coil sounding humbucker" I like HBs to sound like humbuckers. I really like the midrange thing. Like an upside down happy face on an EQ.
How is the midrange content of the ...

Full size humbucker in 360/12?

I am planning on aquiring a 360/12 soon(I have owned a 330 and a 4004 in the past). The thing is, I am quite fond of humbucker tones. My pursuit of midrange heavy humbucker tones has led me to install mini humbucker types in my 330/6. While this was sucsessful in achieving (sorta) my desired tone ...
