Jwilli, perhaps I did miss your point, but I still stand by my comments and observations/opinions on the subject at hand.

Dave Westheimer, your arrogance and to hell with the customer attitude is what is astonishing, quite frankly. The only thing I can say is if you think that the guitars from ...

Jwilli, I have to disagree on this. Pleasing themselves may be great for them, but there are other people they have to please who are a bit more important. Yup, a group of people called "customers".

I seriously doubt Fender or Gibson are envious in any way of the position Rickenbacker is in. In ...

I disagree on this subject. Quite frankly, I wouldn't care if Rickenbackers were made here or in Japan or both. In fact, if there were more factories you might finally see a situation where you could have a Custom Shop or something similar, and the possibility of some cool model Ricks not presently ...

360-12C64 In MB?

I mean the 360-12C63 guitar, I keep saying 64'! Will the 360-12C63 Series guitar be available in Montezuema Brown? Would look pretty sharp in that color. I think that color has been extended for another year, but was curious if this model could be ordered in this color. Anyone know?

A cool idea would have been for Rickenbacker to make this model the "Pete Townshend Limited Edition 12-String", thereby making Townshend the only artist ever to have 2 different Limited Editions for Rickenbacker. He was known for playing the 1993 back in the 60's, would have been cool. However ...

Rickenbacker Model 1993 12-Strings

Rickenbacker made a batch of 25 or so Model 1993 12-strings in the 80's, possibly around 87' or so. Most or all of these were in Fireglo. At this time they also made a batch of model 1997 6-strings, but these were unique in that they had double-bound bodies. All of these were ordered by a guy named ...

John W, nice try in trying to bait me into a flame war, but it won't work. I simply stated my opinion on this matter, which I was upset by. Peter and I have e-mailed each other and discussed it, end of story.

Miguel, thanks for the post, much appreciated, but the problems a lot of customers and dealers have with Rickenbacker run a lot deeper than just a special guitar for someone. Anyways, I'm not gonna start a flame war here or anything, as it's Peter's board and I don't want to cause any trouble ...

Because I still own a few Ricks, and still buy a used one every now and then(mostly pre 84', if you get my drift), just not a new one. Pretty simple, does that answer your question?

Hmmmm.. Well, tell that to the hundreds, if not more of the regular customers who ordered and put deposits on standard production guitars almost 2 years ago and still haven't recieved them yet, I'm sure they appreciate this kind of thing. Not trying to be nasty here, just voicing my opinion and ...

I'm not surprised, should have known. Oh well... Anyways, the minimum batch order is maybe like 50 now or something, not sure.

Peter, how did you get this guitar made? This model is not available, and the 1993 is my all time dream Rick 12-string. I've tried for years to get one made and they just won't do it, unless 25 are ordered. I haven't been able to get 25 people together to order a batch. I have pretty much given up ...

Peter, how did you get a 1993 model made? I didn't think that was available. Christ, that is my dream 12-string Rickenbacker! In MB also!
