Peter,
I first turned to these pages in frustration after picking up a Rick 12 string some years ago. The information and community at The Forum have absolutely made that illusive jangle come alive. We all owe you thanks as does Rickenbacker itself. Cheers!

Yes, I've bought several guitars from them as well as a bunch of other stuff. No problems , they are good folks to deal with and they check every instrument before it goes out. Rick's can have a longer learning curve if you have never owned one so an expert set up to start off ( as Elderly's guys ...

Do the low E and D nut slots look like they may have been altered from stock to fit the Pyramids?
If deepened, that could also be a source of your problem. Just a thought before you try other adjustments.

Peter,
Using the "search" function and selecting " since I last checked for posts" results in a page listing a number of folders listed with plus signs next to them indicating " new" comments within that topic. It is necessary to open , by clicking, each of these folders to review the discussions ...

Don,
My LP is a "Heritage Series Standard 80" with a pretty average neck. These are chunky ,not like the vintage late 59 and 60 necks which were more along the lines of a 59 Dot (335)
I would describe my 660 as chunkier than the " 60 Classic" model LP although it would not be by much. The only ...

Don,
I've got a late 90's MG which measures 40mm at the nut and 48mm at the 12th. Depth is aprox 18mm all the way up.
No way to compare but "feel" is closer to my 80's Les Paul than anything else.

12 string choices

Regarding Rickenbacker 12 strings of various types, what brand of string do you use?
Your suggestions are appreciated.
I'm using Pyramid's.

I have a set on a PRS custom 24 and also on an Ovation Adamas 12 string. They do improve the feel and comfort level and have good longevity. They are brighter than the all nickel strings I use on other guitars. I'm using Pyramids on a 660-12 and am happy with the classic sound they provide with no ...
