1966 Ric 450 / 6 wiring schematic

Hello finally getting around to fixing my '66 Ric 450. I am now into the wiring harness. I must admit I am not good at this but hey another challenge to learn. I am pretty sure I have it right so far and have only one question for now. My I question is - I have a black wire soldered on to the top of...

Re: 1958 Combo 400 Restoration

Paul is really downplaying the hard work that went into this restoration - the handcrafted pickguard and the bridge cover are to original specs and you really can't tell the difference. My expectations were definitely exceeded!!! I'll post some pics as soon as my home computer is working again !!!!

1958 Combo 400 Restoration

Hello All, It has been a while since my last post and I must admit the new forum looks amazing!!! After a very long time I want to thank Paul for the tremendous work he did on my '58 Combo 400. When I saved it from the scrap heap it was a sorry little guitar and I thought that I would work on it. We...

When I bought the guitar from Chris he was pretty certain that the guitar went in for repairs/work in late 1979. I am not sure if it went to the Ric factory or if it was repaired by someone else. In any case the repairs and refinishing job are excellent - although it might take awhile to get used to...

Crazy Wiring - Really Need Help

Now don't laugh - I bought this guitar about 6 years ago it is a 1967 330 MG. Great guitar and I love playing it. Sometimes the treble pick up would cut in and out but with a wiggle of the jack plug all went back to normal - This problem has continued for the past month and then the treble pick up c...

I was just relooking at some of the replies in this thread re my "blue burst" 320. Chris Parry of the Beatle band "Shout" was indeed the former owner and I was wondering if it is possible to verify that the guitar was worked on at the Rickenbacker factory around 1979 or 1980? Any...

Help With POTS

Hello - I really need some help with identifying some POTS I found in an old parts box. They don't appear to be Ric parts as they have a split shaft. Numbers on the POTS are: These numbers are on the top of the pots 1346538 R - 22 1 MEG The other pots have the numbers on the side and they are: 13465...

Sorkin Bridge - Ric 450

Hello - Just wondering will a new Bigsby Sorkin Bridge fit a 1964 Ric 450. I have the rick but it has been updated ugh! to a non Ric bridge assembly. It still has the original bridge plate. Or does anyone have a sorkin bridge for a 1964 Ric 450 ha! ha!

Ric 450 Neck Width

Hello - just a quick question - would anyone know the neck width of a Ric 450? Not sure which it was closer to the 620's or the 650's

620 at the nut - 1.63"
at the 12th fret - 1.93"

650 at the nut - 1.75"
at the 12th fret - 2.107"

Thanks in advance!

Excuse my long absence from the forum as I have been away on business. Well based on my research and the insight of other forum members I am pretty much convinced my guitar is a 1964 – 320 that was modified to a 325 at some point later in its life. It has suffered through the years and will need to ...

Yeah I thought about that one for a while but for me the great vocals are underscored by a rather boring song.

Great topic and now that I have parted with 30+ years of collecting Beatle records/memorabilia (over 57 14" x 14" boxes + 20 others)I certainly have some favourite tunes. Favourites: And Your Bird Can Sing Ask Me Why Dear Prudence Happiness Is A Warm Gun For No One Rain This Boy Long Long ...
